I'm using a Steam ID whitelist (and for now a weak password). Here is a link telling how to get your Steam ID. Send me your ID to get in.
Presently I am self-managing the servers with some scripts I wrote, but there is an available "Game Server Manager" that might be interesting to try. Info can be found here.
The servers reboot on Mondays at 10am Central US time (UTC -6) because when I let it run continuously it got really laggy and weird. See the Weekly Reboot section below for more information. I can change the reboot time if it is in the middle of anyone's best play time.
Originally a clone of ValheimThorsson for testing server mode. Without changing the internal UID of this world it led to mysterious character teleportation in the original world when the character record could not tell which of the two worlds it was standing in.
There are no server side MODs on this world.
This world is presently offline.
The Valheim devs have a comment about MODs.
I use a few handy quality of life MODs - mostly because I'm bad at clicking things. Here is a partial list:
I use Vortex as my MOD manager and game launcher. You can get it here. (Be aware that the Nexus web site is not a forum. When posting, limit your replies to the MODs or the Vortex software.)
All MODs require unstriped versions of the Unity DLLs and most require a toolkit called BepInEx. These are not available on the nexusmods website, so the best place to get them in a combined package is here.
Be careful with MODs after a patch, they may work just fine or they may start deleting your stuff!
If your favorite bookmark isn't working, you may need to update the IP address ( 47.186.5.192 with default port ). Delete your old server connection and create a new one.
There will be a dedicated Discord link "soon" for chatter, at present we're squatting on a gaming channel from Stormtossed Inc.
There is a Steam group, ask for an invite if I forget. This group covers several gaming and hobby topics in addition to Valheim and Satisfactory.
There will be wiki, right here, "soon" for more persistent info.
The server was getting laggy after being up for a few days on end. The solution was a weekly restart of the game. During the downtime an external backup of the world is made and periodically moved offsite.
You will get an audible 10 minute warning before the server reboots (on Day of weeks at Time of day server time) in the same voice you were welcomed to this page if you leave the page open and unmuted.
